FAQs about portrait package pricing.
Can I select another location outside the radius specified?
Absolutely! However, I do charge a travel fee. The more time I spend on the road traveling to clients, the less time I have to book other local sessions photographing other wonderful clients. My travel fee is the national federal rate of .54 cents per mile to cover my round trip, travel expenses.
What if I want more images than the package specifies?
You can purchase additional digital images for $15 per image. This covers the cost to edit images not included in the package.
I have more than 6 people in my family, can they be included?
Additional family members mean more pictures to take and more time to edit so a fee of $25 per person is required.
Can severe acne or scars or be removed?
Retouching is an art and skill that requires knowledge and a careful touch to achieve natural looking results. You can add retouching to any digital image to remove severe acne, scars or other imperfections for $25 per image.
What is the difference between editing and retouching?
That’s a very good question and one that gets asked a lot. While retouching is editing, editing is not necessarily retouching. When we talk about a raw file, editing involves developing the image through editing software similar to developing film in a dark room. This involves adjusting of the information the raw image captured such as light, darks, white balance, exposure, color and contrast to enhance the image and create my signature style. A raw file is a negative and is not an accurate reflection of the actual image when it’s developed. When I retouch an image it is more targeted and involves the use of Photoshop to remove things such as acne, scarring or softening wrinkles. My approach to retouching is that you’ll never know the image was retouched unless you see the before and after photo. Less is always more.
